How to Apply to PitR
All applications must include the following attachments:
Your CV/resumé (upload in either .doc, .docx or .pdf)
Two letters of reference, at least one academic (upload in either .doc, .docx or .pdf)
A personal statement: This can be written, recorded, performed, sung or animated. As long as we can view it, we will accept the statement in the following media: .doc, .docx, .pdf, .mp4, .avi, .mov, . mpeg, and .wmv. If your video is larger than 2 M, please review instructions for sharing privately on Vimeo.com.
What we are looking to find out is why you want to attend PitR and why you believe you are a good candidate. We want to know why you want to learn about Poland, what experiences and qualities make you a good candidate for PitR, if and how you contributed to Polonia and what artistic or academic works you could share at the seminar.
Do not worry if you have had little exposure to Polonia or have little knowledge about Poland – this event will make sure you get plenty of both. If you have had exposure to Polish history, art or literature, mention it – we would love to know the last Polish-themed book you read or movie you watched.
NOTE: All Montreal students should also fill out the following application form and include it with their application.
All successful applicants receive scholarships covering the entire cost of the program including eleven nights accommodation, three meals per day, local transportation and organized excursions but excluding transportation to and from Calgary. All applicants will be notified about the decision by the end of May, 2014.
A registration fee of $250.00 is payable on acceptance.
You can also apply by mail. Download the PitR_AppForm in pdf here.
