Senator Radek Sikorski, journalist and author, has served as Poland’s Defense Minister and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. While at the American Enterprise Institute. He served as executive director of the New Atlantic Initiative, studied issues related to Eastern Europe, NATO, missile defense and Afghanistan, and wrote for AEI’s European Outlook series. As a journalist, he was a roving correspondent for the National Review and from 1986-1989 he was a war correspondent in Afghanistan and Angola. His books include The Polish House and Moscow’s Afghan War.
